While you’re writing and testing your programs, you’ll mostly be running them in the simulator, but once you’ve finished your program you can compile it and run it on your micro:bit. The basic steps are: Connect your micro:bit to your computer via USB. Download Mozilla Firefox, a free Web browser. Firefox is created by a global non-profit dedicated to putting individuals in control online. Get Firefox for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS today!

This article explains how to download and install Firefox on Windows using a simplified online installer. (If you need a full, offline installer or custom options, see For advanced users, below.)

  • To update Firefox from a previous version, see Update Firefox to the latest release.

Drag the Firefox icon on top of the Applications folder in order to copy it there. Note: If you do not see this window, open the Firefox.dmg file that you downloaded. After dragging Firefox to the Applications folder, hold down the control key while clicking in the window and select Eject 'Firefox' from the menu.

Before installing Firefox, see the Firefox System Requirements to make sure that your computer has the required operating system and recommended hardware.

Do not install Firefox using a limited Windows XP account. For more information, see Microsoft's support article How to determine your user account type in Windows.

  1. Visit this Firefox download page in any browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click the button. The Firefox Installer that downloads will automatically offer you the best available version of Firefox for your computer.
    • If you use Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer, a notification bar will appear at the bottom of the page with an option to open or run the Firefox Installer file.
    • Click Open file on Microsoft Edge or on Internet Explorer, to start the process.
    • In other browsers, you may need to first save the Firefox installer to your computer, then open the file you downloaded.
      Note: If you see an Open File - Security Warning dialog, click or .

  3. The User Account Control dialog may open, to ask you to allow the Firefox Installer to make changes to your computer. If this dialog appears, click to start the installation.
  4. Wait for Firefox to finish installing.
  5. When the installation is complete, Firefox will open.

Congratulations, you are done installing Firefox!

Double-click the Firefox icon that was placed on the desktop whenever you want to go online.

Install the LastPass web browser extension

  1. Go to the LastPass downloads page.
  2. Click Download for your desired web browser extension, or click Quick Install if you are actively using your desired web browser.
  3. In your browser toolbar, click the inactive LastPass icon .
  4. Enter your username and your LastPass Master Password, then click Log In.
    An active LastPass icon is now displayed in your toolbar to indicate you are successfully logged in to LastPass.

Install the iOS app

  1. Locate the LastPass Password Manager app for iOS in the App Store.
  2. Tap Get > Install.

  1. Locate the LastPass Password Manager app for iOS in the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap Install.
  3. Review the required app permissions, then tap Accept when ready.
    The app is now installed on your Android device.

Install the LastPass for Safari app extension

How To Download Firefox On My Macbook Air

  1. Download the LastPass for Safari app extension.
  2. Locate the download, then double-click on the LastPass.dmg file to open.
  3. Click and drag the LastPass app icon to the Applications folder. If you had installed a previous version of the LastPass for Safari app extension and are prompted that the LastPass.app already exists in the Applications folder, click Replace.
  4. Open the Applications folder, then double-click on the LastPass app and click Open.
    The LastPass for Safari app extension is now installed.

Install the LastPass for Windows Desktop application

  1. From your desktop, open the Microsoft Store application.
  2. Search for LastPass and click on the desktop application (not the web browser extension application ) or go directly to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/lastpass/9wzdncrfj3qk.
  3. Click Get, then sign in to your Microsoft Live account, or click No, thanks to skip that process.
    The LastPass for Windows Desktop application is now installed.
